Measuring - For the best results accurate measurements must be made.
On a flat mount railing length, height, a description of mounting points, and the type of mounting surface (wood, concrete, etc.).
On a stair railing the angle of the staircase is equally important as length and height and the mounting points. The angle is easiest done by use of a speed square and an adjoining wall to
find the staircase angle. If a speed square is not available then a measurement from the top point of the railing to the bottom mounting point of the railing. This is the only measurement in
addition to the length and height.
